ResetBook Review: Reset: Jesus Changes Everything, by Nick Hall

Author Nick Hall is passionate about making a difference in life, changing the pulse of his generation to be centered on Jesus Christ. He calls people to come to Jesus, give him their habits, hurts, problems, and issues, and allow Jesus to reset the tone and direction of their lives. That statement summarizes the theme of the book, the author’s life, and ministry endeavors.

In Part I: The Setup, the author spends three chapters sharing his story of how he came to faith in Christ, developed a passion for ministry, started an evangelistic ministry, and got to this point where his organization is hosting a national gathering in Washington, D. C. in July 2016. In Part II: Hitting Reset, the author spends eight chapters explaining how Jesus can reset our faith, plans, self-image, relationships, purity, habits, affections, and generation.

The author updates some of the parables and teachings of Jesus in contemporary language to reach a new generation. He includes stories from his children, college years, and adult life to illustrate his points. He tells stories of both victories and failures which help flesh out the concepts in real life. I was encouraged by both the message of the book and the example of a man who is sold out and passionate about communicating the gospel.

I received this book from the Blogging for Books program in exchange for this review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
