Let’s play two!

The softball season is underway. After two weeks, First Central Baptist Church of Chicopee, MA, is undefeated. Yeah, team! The team and the fans are having a great time.

Signs of Spring

It seems like winter has finally released its hold and spring has arrived.

God’s creative paint palette and my wife’s green thumb is on display.

Hoping for Spring

Maybe I’m being overly optimistic, but I took the snow tire chains out of my car this morning, moved my snow blower to the back of the garage, and moved my lawn mower to the front of the garage. I even mowed the lawn, not because the grass needed it, but because it was an easier way to pick up the leaves and debris left behind by the winter snows. Hopefully, spring will follow.

Snow fooling?

last snow before spring

Considering we woke up to snow and slush this morning, today’s BC comic is spot on.

Spring fashions on display

This morning, we journeyed to Northampton to visit the Botanic Garden of Smith College. This week is their annual Spring Bulb Show. Though it is still winter outside, God’s beautiful palette of colors is on display inside.

So this is what spring feels like

I stepped into unfamiliar territory today. I brought out the patio furniture, donned shorts and a t-shirt, made sun tea, and pulled dandelions in 60 degree sunshine. And it’s only May 4!

Two years ago this time we visited the tulip festival in Skagit Valley, WA, wearing ski coats. Most years, we wore sweatshirts until August. Guess we’re not in Seattle anymore, Mittens.
